It has become an old habit of Pakistan to appeal to India for a ceasefire and then violate it. Although Pakistan is not coming to terms with its actions, the frustration is visible in the statement of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
In his address to the nation on Saturday, Shehbaz Sharif said that what India did recently was wrong, to which our army gave a befitting reply. India has imposed war on us by making the excuse of the Pahalgam attack. Pakistan has offered an impartial investigation into India’s baseless allegations.
Shehbaz had alleged that India had targeted Pakistani civilians with drones and missiles, and by attacking them, India had tested our patience. The Indian Army had unsuccessfully tried to target Pakistani army camps and military depots.
Expressed gratitude for the ceasefire
Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to China, Donald Trump and the Gulf countries for the ceasefire.
