Delhi-NCR, air quality ‘very poor’, AQI crosses 450.

    The air pollution in Delhi-NCR has worsened, resulting in a thick haze of smoke in the sky. Breathing has become difficult, and complaints of a burning sensation in the eyes and chest are common. The haze has been present in the sky since Thursday, and the situation has only worsened since Friday morning due to the entry of air pollution along with the cold weather. This has further aggravated the difficulties of already sick people.

    The influx of air pollution along with the cold weather has further exacerbated the health problems of those who were already unwell. Visibility has decreased. The sun has set. It has been attributed to the burning of stubble and changing weather. Doctors have issued an alert about respiratory problems.

    Schools will remain closed for the next two days:

    Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that all government and private primary schools in the city will remain closed for the next two days due to the increasing levels of pollution. Online classes will be conducted. Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has called for an emergency meeting on Friday to review the situation.
