Amid tensions between Pakistan and Iran, US President Joe Biden has criticized Iran’s airstrike. He said that the conflict between the two countries is proof that Iran is not liked in the region, no matter where it goes. We are working as per the present situation.
White House spokesman John Kirby said that America is watching this issue. We do not want tension to increase in South and Central Asia. For this, we are in touch with Pakistani officials. Iran’s attack on Pakistan shows that it is working to increase instability in the region.
The US Foreign Ministry also gave its reaction to this. Ministry spokesperson Matthew Miller said- We do not want this tension to increase in any way. Pakistan is and will always be a major non-NATO ally for us. We appeal for peace from both sides.
At the same time, UN Chief Antonio Guterres also expressed concern over the air strikes from both countries. He said- We appeal to both sides to make peace. On the other hand, China has offered to mediate between the two countries. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said- We hope both countries will try their best to resolve the issue.
Mao Ning further said- If they want, we are ready to take the initiative. China has always been saying that tensions between the two countries should be resolved based on UN resolutions and international laws. Both Pakistan and Iran are members of Shanghai Cooperation Organization i.e. SCO and are close trading partners of China.
