Al Jazeera journalist’s family members killed in Gaza

    On Wednesday, an Israeli strike on two houses in the Nussirat refugee camp killed several people, including al-Dahdouh’s wife, son and daughter, medical sources claimed.

    Xinhua (run by Hamas) news agency quoted a statement issued by the Interior Ministry in Gaza: 

    Three family members of Wael al-Dahdouh, Al Jazeera Arabic’s bureau chief in Gaza, were killed amid clashes in the Hamas-controlled territory, Palestinian security and medical sources said.

    On Wednesday, an Israeli strike on two houses in the Nussirat refugee camp killed several people, including al-Dahdouh’s wife, son and daughter, medical sources claimed.

    The al-Dahdouh family was targeted, despite being forced to relocate to the southern part of the Gaza Strip in search of safety, Xinhua news agency quoted a statement issued by the Hamas-run Interior Ministry in Gaza.

    The transfer followed Israel’s evacuation call, which ordered about one million people to move to the southern part of the besieged area on October 13.

    The footage shows al-Dahdouh entering a hospital to see his killed family members.

    In a statement released on social platform X, Al Jazeera confirmed the death and expressed condolences to al-Dahdouh’s family members.
