Israeli defence forces carried out a major operation in Jabalia, Gaza on Tuesday. In this operation, the defence forces eliminated 50 fighters, including a Hamas commander. However, two Israeli soldiers were also killed in this clash.
The Israeli army reported that they conducted an airstrike before their ground forces took control of a building used by Hamas’ Central Jabalia Battalion. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, numerous buildings in Jabalia were destroyed. It is reported that around 50 Hamas fighters, including the battalion chief, were killed during the operation.

Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated on Tuesday evening that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are making significant progress in their ground operations within the Gaza Strip. Galant visited Air Force soldiers and emphasised that many troops have been deployed inside the Strip to combat active militants. The fight against these militants in Gaza is ongoing.
It has been 25 days since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas. So far, approximately 10,000 people have died from both sides. In Gaza alone, the death toll stands at 8,525, including 3,542 children.
