US Senator Lindsey Graham told the social media platform company owners who appeared before the Judiciary Committee of the Senate (Upper House) in Capitol Hill (US Parliament) late Wednesday night Indian time.
Owners and officials of Facebook-Instagram’s proprietary companies Meta, TikTok, X, Discord and Snap appeared in the Senate. The Judiciary Committee is interrogating these officers in cases of online exploitation and sexual crimes against children. After this, the owners of other tech companies including Zuckerberg apologized.
This was EPIC!! Mark Zuckerberg looked like he was about to cry. 😂. He stood up and gave a half assed apology to the families. I hope they sue him. He has wronged so many people.

Social media companies are putting children’s safety at risk
According to Reuters, many American states have filed cases against tech companies including Meta. The companies are accused of deliberately putting children’s safety at risk by including features in social media that spoil the mental health of children, incite them to commit suicide and make them victims of exploitation. Parents of the victim’s children were also present in the Senate during the hearing.
Zuckerberg, ignoring the Judiciary Committee present in the Senate, started talking to the parents. He said- I am sorry for what you all have gone through. Please forgive me. I would never want anyone else to go through what you went through. No family should have to endure what you have endured.
Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel also apologized. He said- We could not stop whatever happened. Please forgive us for this.
