The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has declared Libya to Europe the most dangerous migration route. According to some monitoring groups, more than 20 thousand people have died or gone missing on this route since 2014.
Most of those who died were from Nigeria, Gambia and other African countries. 25 people who survived this accident have been sent to a detention centre in Libya.
On June 14 this year, 300 people from Pakistan died in a boat sinking incident near Greece. The local media of Pakistan gave this information. According to Pakistani news website Dawn, 400 people from Pakistan, 200 from Egypt and 150 from Syria were on board the boat.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had talked about action against human traffickers after the accident. After this, Pakistan arrested 9 human smugglers from PoK. They were accused of trying to transport people from Pakistan to Europe through illegal means.
