So far, around 130 people have died and hundreds have been injured due to the massive earthquake in western Nepal. The earthquake has destroyed many houses. Nepalese officials have confirmed that more than 35 people have died in Rukum West, while more than 90 people have died in Jajarkot district. The rescue force has been engaged in rescue operations since the earthquake.
On Friday night, around 11:30 pm, strong jolts of an earthquake were felt in the western region of Nepal. The earthquake’s intensity on the Richter scale was measured at 6.4 magnitude. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has left for a tour of the affected areas. At the same time, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property caused by the earthquake.

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda expressed deep sorrow over the human and property damage caused by the earthquake. All three security agencies have been deployed for immediate rescue and relief of the injured.

The Himalayan country of Nepal is no stranger to earthquakes. In 2015, the country was hit by a powerful earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale. The devastating quake claimed the lives of more than 12,000 people and destroyed thousands of homes.
